On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, voters in the Almont Community Schools District will have the opportunity to consider a bond proposal that, if approved, would lead to district-wide facility improvements without a millage increase, in fact, it's expected to reduce the current school millage. This proposal is aimed at extending the life of our buildings by making infrastructure and accessibility improvements. It will also provide upgrades to safety and security measures, as well as enhancements to learning and recreational spaces. Almont Community Schools is asking voters to consider a $58.4 million bond to fund updates to its four campus buildings so that the district can provide Almont students with an education in a state-of-the-art learning environment optimized to best serve the needs of different learners. MULTI-PURPOSE CENTER FIELD HOUSE: A VISION FOR THE FUTURE The proposed Multi-Purpose Center Field House represents potential revenue-generating space that benefits both the school and community. It would serve as a fitness and music center, host year-round athletics, and offer a dedicated space for the marching band and robotics programs. This facility would be used for competitions and community events.
