Dear Almont Community Schools Families, Staff, Students, and Community Members,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Superintendent of Almont Community Schools. I am honored to join this outstanding district and look forward to becoming a part of the community that has graciously extended such a warm welcome.

I understand that change can bring both excitement and uncertainty. Although I am new to Almont, coming from a similar community, I understand that schools are at the heart of the community. It is where generations of families have learned and where lifelong friendships are formed. I am curious to learn more, as every district has its own story, traditions, and strengths. I am seeking to understand by asking questions and to listen and learn by connecting with all stakeholders, identifying what is working as well as the challenges we are facing. The strongest districts have relationships built on trust and transparency, with a collaborative approach that values all perspectives.

In the weeks ahead, you'll see me visiting schools and classrooms, attending community and school events, while getting to know our students, staff, families, and community. I value open, honest communication based on mutual respect. My commitment to you is that I will be approachable, honest, transparent, and make decisions that will always put students first. I believe in an optimistic approach that, by working as a team, we can overcome any obstacle.

Thank you again for the warm Raider welcome. I look forward to getting to know each of you more and building on the great work that's already happening here. I am excited about what we can accomplish together.
