Behavioral Specialists
Danielle Murdock - AMS
Amanda Nichols - OP
A Behavioral Specialists role is different from that of a traditional school guidance counselor in that they are not involved in activities such as developing the student schedules. The administrative aspects of this position have been purposefully reduced so that they can spend the lion's share of their day working directly with our students. In this role, they will assist with student mental health and behavioral concerns while providing positive behavioral, academic, and classroom support. Our OP and AMS BI's will also consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student needs as well as providing individual and group counseling/therapy.
